Man arrested after disturbance

A MAN armed with a weapon was arrested last night (Sunday) after police were called to a house in North Road, Shanklin.

Following reports of a disturbance, officers attended the house shortly before 8pm and found a man making violent threats and refusing to leave.

Police used a taser.

The 37-year-old man remains in police custody today (Monday). He is suspected of having a knife.
