THE man at the wheel of a car in a collision in which a 28-year-old woman died has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving on October 11 last year.

Craig Eccleston-Todd, 26, of Clifford Street, Newport, is also charged with causing death by careless driving while over the drink-drive limit.

He has been bailed to appear at Portsmouth Magistrates Court on April 1.

The charges are part of Operation Bach, an investigation launched by officers from Hampshire Constabulary's road death investigation team, following the collision on the A3054 at Bouldnor between a Citroen Xsara and a Daihatsu Quore belonging to Rachel Titley, from Cowes, who died.
