Man charged with string of driving offences

AN ISLE of Wight man was charged yesterday (Sunday) with a string of driving offences, including drink driving and failing to stop for police.

Simon Michael John Cant, 30, of Alexandra Road, Cowes, was charged with dangerous driving, drink driving, failing to stop for police and driving without third party insurance.

He was bailed to appear at court on Tuesday, March 25.

A police spokesman said Mr Cant was arrested and charged after police followed a car suspected of being involved in a number of driving offences on Saturday night.
