A MAN has fallen from the roof at a three-storey Isle of Wight property this morning (Friday).
The Ambulance Service called on assistance from Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue after a report the man had fallen from the roof of the property in The Mall, Brading, at around 10.25am, according to the fire and rescue service.
The man is understood to have landed on a garage and suffered a back injury.
At around 11.15am Isle of Wight Ambulance Service confirmed the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance was on scene.
It was initially believed the man had fallen from the top of the building, however it is now understood he fell from the first floor of an extension. His injuries are understood to be non life-threatening.
*An Isle of Wight NHS spokesman confirmed this afternoon that the man had been airlifted to St Mary's Hospital and admitted with a suspected lower spinal fracture.
