EMERGENCY services came to the aid of a man who fell on Brading Down, on Monday.
An ambulance was called to the scene, near Bully’s Hill, Brading shortly after 2pm.
A man had fallen around 10 to 12ft and suffered an open fracture of his left ankle and the ambulance crew called for assistance from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service to help move him.
The man was taken to St Mary’s Hospital for surgery.
