A MAN has been taken to hospital after a crash between a car and a coach.

It is understood the coach was stationary when a car collided with it, on Afton Road, at around 10:36am.

Nobody is thought to have been on board the coach at the time.

Isle of Wight ambulance service confirmed a man had been taken to St Mary's Hospital.

Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service attended due to concern about smoke coming from the car, however a spokesman said there was no fire.
