TWO groups providing very different sporting opportunities for youngsters have been given thousands of pounds to buy equipment by the London Marathon Charitable Trust.
The Bexley Cricket Youth Development Group will get £15,000 to develop cricket in the borough, especially for girls and young people with disabilities.
The money will buy equipment for a new indoor centre at Bexley Grammar School, with six outreach centres across the borough.
The rest of the money goes to the Bexley Extreme Sports Team which gives youngsters a chance to develop skateboarding and BMX cycling skills safely. There are already ramps in the Town Park in Bexleyheath and the cash will buy more equipment for all levels of ability.
