MEDINA College will be closed on Monday, June 25 due to the on-going difficulties with transport as a result of the Isle of Wight Festival traffic.
The college issued the following message for parents:
Due to the on-going difficulties surrounding the transport relating to the festival and in liaison with the local authority, police and festival organisers, we (Medina College) have made the decision to close Medina College on Monday, June 25.
The College will be closed to all students with the exception of those taking the external Geography GCSE exam. All students sitting this exam should be on site at 9.10am for the normal exam briefing. Breakfast will be provided from 8am.
We (Medina College) are currently working in conjunction with the Local Authority and Southern Vectis to put in place transport arrangements for children who are bussed and these will be announced as early as possible today via the web site and other media.
If you have significant childcare concerns for year seven and eight students on Monday, please contact the college directly before 2.30pm today (Friday) for information.
Any parents with concerns should contact the college.
