Fudge, centre, with his two new Javan Langurs playmates.
THERE were some new faces at the Isle of Wight Owl and Monkey Haven this Christmas.
Two new Javan Langurs arrived this month (December) from Howletts Wild Animal Park and have moved in with the haven’s other Langur, Fudge.
Named Macazive and Treacle, the two monkeys, are part of a programme that may eventually mean they are introduced to the wild.
Kelly Wickes, of the haven, said: "Fudge had been on his own for a few months. He had been living with some older ladies, but one by one they have gone and we wanted to get him some playmates.
"They all got along from the start, it’s been brilliant."
Animals at the haven have been getting into the festive spirit thanks to special presents and crackers filled with some of their favourite treats.
Visitors have also had the chance to meet Santa and enjoy mince pies during visits in the run up to Christmas.
