FOUR drivers have been arrested in the first week of a police Christmas drink-drive campaign.
A spokeswoman said drink-drive arrests were up three per cent across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight, with 45 men and 19 women arrested on suspicion of drink-driving.
The campaign, which runs until January 1, will see police targeting individuals they suspect of driving under influence of drink or drugs, either on the way home from nights out and the morning after.
Hampshire Constabulary has asked the public to text 80999 to report anyone they suspect of drink-driving or taking drugs behind the wheel.
