AFTER travel chaos gridlocked East Cowes and Southampton yesterday, Red Funnel will be running a revising timetable today (Tuesday) and tomorrow (Wednesday).
Due to a technical fault with the Red Eagle vehicle ferry yesterday, passengers were faced with cancellations and delays of up to five hours.
Red Funnel said: "Due to a technical fault with one of the vessels, which requires new parts to be delivered, fitted and tested, Red Funnel is now operating a revised timetable on its Southampton-East Cowes route until PM on Wednesday 19 July. Full details of the revised schedule will be available on the website shortly."
The following vehicle ferries have been cancelled:
Tuesday
Cancellations from Southampton: 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm
Cancellations from East Cowes: 9:30am, 12:30pm, 3:30pm, 6:30pm
*Wednesday
Cancellations from Southampton: 8am, 11am, 2pm, 5pm
Cancellations from East Cowes: 9:30am, 12:30pm, 3:30pm, 6:30pm

Wightlink customers also faced delays yesterday after mechanical problems caused delays on the catamaran service to Portsmouth from Ryde.
The service is now running a revised timetable after chartering a replacement vessel to operate some sailings. A full timetable can be found on their website but the following sailings have been cancelled on both days:
6:40am sailing from Portsmouth Harbour
7:15pm sailing from Ryde Pier Head
