January 29, 2001 9:47: SWIMMERS in Orpington who fancy an early morning or late evening dip can now visit Darrick Wood Pool on Lovibonds Avenue.
The pool, which is partly shared with Darrick Wood School, is now open between 8am and 9am and 8pm and 9pm Monday to Friday.
Centre Manager Linda Snook, said: This is the first stage toward improved public swimming times at Darrick Wood Pool.
It has followed a great deal of planning and consultation and we anticipate this move toward more accessible public swimming time to be very popular.
