FURTHER improvements are due to be carried out at Bembridge Harbour.

Bembridge Harbour Improvement Company (BHIC) has applied for a licence for further dredging at the harbour.

According to the Marine Management Organisation (MMO), BHIC plans to dredge a small channel, construct a new hard standing and install a landing pontoon.

It is the latest stage in a programme of developments at the harbour. The first phase began in March.

Any representations on the plans, which can be seen at Bembridge Harbour Office, must be received by the MMO by January 25, quoting reference MLA/2012/00489.
