A FIERCE blaze ripped through the upper floor of a three-storey house in Turnpike Lane on Saturday morning.
The fire took hold just after midnight and destroyed the second floor and half the roof.
About 20 firefighters quelled the flames using a water jet. There were no reports of injuries.
