Motorsport day raises cash for KissyPuppy

Charity Motorsport Festival 2014. Racing in their Karts are front to back Dave Dutch, Tom Read, Dan Dutch, and John Dutch

PETROL heads flocked to the Charity Motorsport Festival at the weekend, held at the Northwood County Showground.

Organised by the Isle of Wight Car Club, there were demonstrations by Island car and bike clubs and off road go-kart displays. A taster auto-test course was open to anyone with a full licence and a road going car, and passenger laps were on offer in a 300bhp Group N Subaru Impreza.

Festival-goers could camp at the showground, where entertainment included live music, auto jumble and a drive-in cinema.

Donations were collected during the weekend for KissyPuppy, the Sophie Rolf Fund.
