Aldenham FC 2
W Herts League Division Two
Aldenham are sitting pretty at the top of the table after defeating Oxhey at the weekend.
Victory over Oxhey means the Blues' promotion push is still on course, and if they win two of their three remaining games, division one football is on the menu next term.
Aldenham opened their account on Saturday through a Ben Rowe header. After the break, the Blues failed to extend their lead, despite efforts from Dave Denty, Pete Holmes, Paul Stevens and Darren Wadkins. An own goal from skipper Nick Gynne further compounded Aldenham's woes.
Then Aldenham regained the lead, thanks to a smashing shot from Stevens. His goal was set up by splendid support work from Denty and Holmes.
