A POOLED fund to purchase general and registered nursing care for eligible Islanders looks set to be agreed by the Isle of Wight Council and health bosses.
Under the arrangement, the council and the Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), a new organisation taking over from the the Primary Care Trust, would contribute to the Funded Nursing Care Fund.
The fund, amounting to almost £5 million, would support Islanders in nursing homes who are the responsibility of the local authority or CCG.
A delegated decision on the new arrangement will not be made before Tuesday, March 19.
