Ridgehill Housing Association's five year rent guarantee runs out in March. So a series of five public meetings are being held by Ridgehill Housing Association for tenants to discuss future spending and rent plans.

Members of the association's board have come up with a set of far-ranging proposals which will be discussed at the meetings.

Julian Ashby, Ridgehill's acting chief executive, said: "Ridgehill's five year rent guarantee runs out in March. We need to talk to our tenants about rent increases for future years, but we must balance our spending with our rent income. So, the board has come up with a package of proposals to present to our residents.

"We know that many of our tenants want double glazing and central heating installed in their homes, and we are keen to keep our housing stock in good condition, so we have incorporated an accelerated improvements programme into the proposals. However, there are costs associated with the plans and it is in our residents' interest to come along to the meetings to ask questions and air their views."

When the consultation has finished, the findings will be discussed by the board and incorporated into its long-term business plan. The meetings are as follows: Phillimore Centre, Radlett, on Monday December 14 at 4pm, Sullivan Way Community Centre, Sullivan Way, Elstree, on Wednesday December 16 at 7pm, Ridgehill Housing Association, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, on Thursday December 17 at 2pm and 7pm and Farriers Way Hall in Farriers Way, Borehamwood, on Tuesday January 5 at 4pm.

Anyone needing transport to get to one of the meetings should telephone 0181 235 7276.
