&am p;lt;b>THE use of drones is a 'constant worry' to the Isle of Wight NHS Trust, with fears the devices could interfere with air ambulance flights.
The trust's interim chief executive, Maggie Oldham, has welcomed the government's plans to tighten regulations around the use of drones.
In a report to the board of directors, Maggie said: "With reports across the UK of the uncontrolled use of drones along with the shining of laser lights at aircraft and helicopters, there is a concern that the lives of flight crews and those on the ground are being put at risk.
"The helipad at St Mary's Hospital is in regular use day and night, and this is a constant worry."
