REPORTS of illegal dredging off the Isle of Wight coast have been dismissed by the Marine Management Organisation (MMO).
Following an investigation, sparked by concerns from Isle of Wight residents, the MMO concluded that while dredging vessels had sailed around and anchored off the Isle of Wight, no unlicensed dredging had taken place.

Do the dredging companys pay any funds to the MMO to fund there research on the enviromental impact. ?

Legal dredging is just as dangerous....there has been no enviromental impact since the 90's when it was recommended that no more dredging be allowed off the East Wight due to over dredging...Crown Estates have now granted new licesnses to dredge massive fields in the fishing waters off of the east wight, with no enviromental impact report.
