Nursery could become a caravan park

come on people you are all arguing about something that will not be decided until thursday next week at the earliest, keep your powder dry, dont shoot till you see the whites of their eyes, surely there must be some other news item that will keep you occupied in the meantime ? or perhaps not..........................................zzzzzzzzzz

Richard if you read many other stories on this website there are as I said sarcastic pointless comments attached, lets not be pedantic about it you are arguing a very week point. With regard to the story not being newsworthy I would like to make a couple of points. I am one of many local landowners/businesses local to this site. Due to government funding cuts to Osel the charity this site was occupied by, the site had to reluctantly be given up resulting in a number of people with special needs being made redundant from their nursery jobs with few if any vacancies locally being available to them. In additon the "guy next door" in one of the biggest national caravanning clubs who put their planning application in virtually the same day as the for sale boards were erected, and personally I have not seen this site marketed at all anywhere so there was no real opportunity for other prospective buyers! Lastly the huge increase in size of this caravan site is very difficult to just

Well said, Chris. This, actually, is a significant story: this charity was doing really good work with disabled and vulnerable people, and now, because of the council's 'everything must go' sell-off of assets, it looks like it's to become yet another caravan park. (Just what the island needs, more blimmin' caravans.) Can't help but wonder what all the people it was helping will be doing now...
