A DELEGATION of Islanders has handed over a petition backing the One Wight campaign to Downing Street.

The group, led by Island MP Andrew Turner, went 10 Downing Street yesterday (Monday) to present the petition, signed by more than 16,000 people.

The petition calls for the government to abandon plans to change the Island constituency boundaries, leading to part of it being represented by a mainland MP.
