An Elstree nursing home is supporting a national campaign to encourage people aged over 50 to volunteer in their local communities.
Residents and staff at BUPA's Elstree Lawns Specialist Nursing Home are supporting the "Get Active! With BUPA" campaign, by inviting volunteers to help them with a residents' outing to Aldenham Country Park on July 22. The volunteers are from the agency Community Service Volunteers, which is organising the campaign, sponsored by BUPA Care Services.
Home manager Christine Smith said: "We are always trying to forge greater links with our local community, and this campaign has enabled us to do just that."
