Over 100 sign up for Race for All

MORE than 100 people have so far registered for tomorrow's (Sunday) Isle of Wight Race for All.

With registration available on the day, there is still time for people of all ages to sign up for the 5k competitive run or 5k fun run, both starting at Medina Leisure Centre.

Jamie Bray, of B7 Events and Promotions, said the event — this year’s replacement for Race For Life — was an opportunity for the whole family to be involved in making a difference through raising money for Cancer Research UK.

Sponsored by Reynold and Read, one of the highlights will be a free try-sport village with sports clubs showcasing what they have to offer.

There will also be special guests, including Portsmouth footballer Alan Knight and Britain’s Got Talent contestant DJ Allan Turner-Ward.

There will also be food, merchandise and other entertainment with prizes for those who wear the best fancy dress.

The event starts at 10.30am with the competitive race getting under way at 12.30pm and the fun run at 2pm.
