Pair face esplanade burglary charges

TWO men are due to appear at the Isle of Wight Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday), charged in connection with burglaries that took place in Ventnor.

Paul Philip Carter, 27, of Pound Lane, Ventnor, and Robert John Scott, 36, of West Street, Wroxall, have both been charged with two counts of burglary following burglaries at the Beach Hut Diner and Ventnor Bay Cafe on the Esplanade, Ventnor, in October.

The charges follow an investigation by Targeted Patrol Team and Scenes of Crime officers, CID and intelligence staff on the Isle of Wight.

Both men have been bailed  to appear at the court tomorrow.
