SUSTAINABLE fashion brand Rapanui has teamed up with the Island’s Eco Film Company to show off the Isle of Wight’s potential as a green fashion shoot venue.
Working with the models chosen in last year’s Natural Face of the Isle of Wight competition, the Eco Film Company created a short promotional film and stills, shot using only natural light.
Eco Film Company’s Chris Springhall said: "We wanted to make the Isle of Wight a legitimate location for UK shoots — there’s so much talent and so many natural assets. The fact we produced such a stunning piece of film with just reflectors in November shows the potential for the Island as a world-class fashion shoot location."
Rapanui co-founder Rob Drake-Knight said: "When the Eco Film Company approached us about the idea for the shoot, we spoke about localising fashion photography, linking it to sustainability, like food miles and the fabric traceability we use.
"We thought, what about the film and photography? What is the point of knowing where your products come from if the company then flies the models to do a summer shoot around the world?"
