Passports launched for the Isle of Wight

The new Visit Isle of Wight Time Travellers passports.

VISITORS to the Isle of Wight this summer will be told 'don't forget your passport' as part of a new tourism campaign.

Visit Isle of Wight has launched special Time Travellers Passports to help people make the most of their time on the Isle of Wight.

The idea fits in with this summer's marketing campaign, which features a tie-in with the Hollywood blockbuster film Transformers: Age of Exctinction, with the Transformers logo featuring on the front of the passports.

People can create their own 'time trails' with themes such as dinosaurs, ancient Romans, Tudors and Stuarts, the Victorians, modern and a Transformers-inspired Dinobot hunt.

There are 15 locations around the Island to collect passport stamps, which enters collectors into a competition to win a holiday to Los Angeles and a stay at the Royal Hotel in Ventnor.

The official Visit Isle of Wight App has also been updated with the latest information about what to do and where to stay on the Isle of Wight.

You can collect a passport from any of the Island's Tourist Information Points, including the Isle of Wight County Press Shop, Pyle Street, Newport.
