FULHAM 0 - WYCOMBE WANDERERS.

Ray Wilkins's multi-million pound men were comfortably held by lowly Wycombe to end a four match winning streak.

Despite enjoying the majority of possession, the visitors were worth the point. Paul Trollope was unfortunate to see his diving header flash past a post early on but this turned out to be Fulham's only goal attempt in a frustrating opening 45 minutes.

Maik Taylor in the Fulham goal was by far the busier keeper when he denied Mike Simpson and Steve Brown, although he was beaten on one occasion when a Brown effort hit the crossbar.

Fulham began to take control of the second half but lacked the penetration to open up a well-organised Wycombe defence.

In the 81st minute Fulham created their first effort on goal when on-loan signing Kyle Lightbourne forced a good save from Martin Taylor following good work from the lively Paul Peschisolido.

Minutes later Taylor made a splendid save from Steve Hayward, after Trollope had run down the touchline.
