TWO people were reported to be trapped in their vehicles following a collision in Shanklin this afternoon (Friday).
Emergency services were called to the scene, at the junction of Victoria Avenue and East Mead, shortly after 12pm.
Two vehicles were involved in the collision and two people, both complaining of back injuries, were initiallty reported to be trapped.
One person was taken to hospital. The other was assessed at the scene and did not need further treatment.
*The road was re-opened at about 1.30pm.
