POLICE are reminding motorist to secure their vehicles following a spate of thefts in the Ventnor area.

Three vehicles were broken into overnight sometime between 6pm on Wednesday, March 5 and 8am Thursday, March 6, in Gills Cliff Road, Lowtherville Road and St Boniface Road.

PC Neil Payne said: "We’d like to remind people not to leave anything of value in their vehicles. Also, do remember to lock your vehicle, even if you are away from it for only a short time. All these vehicles were left insecure.

"We’d also advise motorists not to lock valuables in the boot of cars.

"If you have any information on these thefts or saw anything suspicious please contact police."

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Payne at Shanklin Police Station on 101. Information can be given anonymously by calling Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
