Police appeal for owners to come forward

POLICE investigating burglaries and thefts from cars on the Isle of Wight have recovered several items, including a camcorder, binoculars and fireworks.

Officers from the Newport Priority Crime Unit have appealed for the rightful owners to come forward and claim their property, and have released photographs of the items.

Anyone who recognises the items should call Newport Police Station on 101.

Information can also be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
