POLICE on the Isle of Wight are appealing for two witnesses who saw someone driving dangerously through Ventnor this week.

Two members of the public told a police officer they had seen a silver Ford Galaxy being driven dangerously along Gills Cliff Road at around 6.20pm on Tuesday (21).

The officers who spoke to the two witnesses did not have time to take their details as they had to respond rapidly to the report and locate the vehicle.

The vehicle was later found abandoned on a bridleway in Niton.

Isle of Wight based traffic officer, PC Daniel Renshaw, said: "I am appealling to the two people who stopped to talk to the officer to make contact with us.

"We would like to get some more information from them and speak with them about making a witness statement to help support our investigation."

If this was you, please call the police on 101, quoting the crime number 44170106358.
