Police efit following Newport burglary

ISLE of Wight Police have issued an efit of a man they want to speak to in connection with a burglary in Newport.

The burglary at the property on St Johns Road took place between 12.10pm and 1pm on Tuesday, February 18.

The offender smashed a window to gain access, searched the house and rifled through unopened birthday cards.

Police want to speak to the man, who was seen in the area at the time.

He was described as white, 45 to 55 years old, 5ft 9in, of medium build, with very dark hair with a growing out fringe swept to the side.

He was also described as having a very thick straight moustache, dark eyebrows and eyes, an oval face with high cheekbones and a slightly olive complexion.
