AN Erith poet, otherwise known as the car park commando for his war on Connex, has won the BBC's Christmas poetry award.
Paul Seymour, who lives in Sandcliff Road, will have his poem animated by a top BBC designer and featured on its arts website for the next year.
Paul, his protesting days almost over, has now turned to poetry and has already published a successful collection of his poems.
He also runs a poetry website.
His humorous poem, Gone Fishing, written under his pen name Paul Bearer, was chosen by poet and author Gillian Allnut, herself short-listed this year for the T S Eliot poetry award.
Paul says he is "over the moon" about winning.
Log onto the BBC website, www.bbc.co.uk/arts/poetry/index.shtml and you will find out why they chose Paul's work.
