A BISHOP'S Stortford motorist suffered multiple cuts and bruising after colliding head-on with a tipper truck.

Imogene Willmore, 56, of Walnut Drive, collided with the eight-wheel tipper truck at around 3pm on Thursday, as she headed towards Bishop's Stortford along the A120, near the Albury End turn-off.

Mrs Willmore's car veered into the opposite carriageway and collided with the Foden tipper being driven by Peter Mace, 64, of Chapel End, Buntingford,

She was cut free from her Austin Maestro and taken to Princess Alexandra Hospital, where her condition was described as "stable" on Monday. Mr Mace was suffering from shock. Witnesses are being urged to call East Herts traffic division on 01992 533013.
