AN 88-year-old man arrested by police in connection with the death of an 86-year-old Lake woman has been released without charge.
Police officers and the ambulance service were called to a house in Manor Road, shortly after 7.30am on Saturday and the woman was found to be dead on their arrival.
A post-mortem examination by home office pathologist Dr Russell Delaney at St Mary's Hospital, Newport, last night, has concluded the cause of death is indeterminable.
A police spokeswoman said police would continue to prepare a file on behalf of the coroner. An inquest will open in due course.
