But Wood will be keen to preserve Harrow's 100 per cent home record on Saturday, as they make the short trip to Earlsmead.

Borough have lost both home games played so far, to Maidenhead on the campaign's opening day and Hendon last Monday, so Wood will travel with confidence, but hopefully not the complacency demonstrated at Claremont Road last weekend.

One Borough man hoping to do well is striker Mark Xavier, who enjoyed a brief spell at Wood a couple of seasons back, scoring against Luton in the Sky-televised FA Cup tie which was to prove his last appearance for the club.

Despite there being only one team to be relegated from the premier division this term due to league reconstruction, Harrow are many people's favourites for the drop, and last May finished with only the relegated clubs below them for the second season running.

Wood's last league visit to Earlsmead came in February last year, and saw two Neil Selby goals (one from the spot) and a Junior Samuels strike giving them a 3-1 win.

Samuels is currently on a one month's loan at Dr Marten's League outfit Chelmsford City, as he apparently remains way down the queue for a starting berth at Wood.

It is a line that could be getting longer, as Bedford striker Carl Drew has been training at Meadow Park recently, and will sign if the club's playing budget allows.

The club is running a supporters' coach to Harrow this Saturday, departing Meadow Park at 1pm. Details on 020 8953 5097.
