SINGER Peter Andre’s cancelled concert in Ryde this evening (Friday) may be rescheduled for the summer, promoters have said.
The 39-year-old vocalist cancelled the Island gig at Planet Ice at Ryde Arena due to the worsening health of his brother Andrew, who has cancer.
Green Eye Events, which promoted the cancelled show, said it had not been possible to secure an alternative, suitable date in the near future for the Isle of Wight.
In a statement, a spokesman for Green Eye Events told disappointed fans: "We are very sorry for any inconvenience this might bring and appreciate your understanding. We want Peter to know that he and his family are in our thoughts at this difficult time and know his fans will feel the same.
"We may bring Peter back in the summer, but it is early days and something we have yet to discuss."
Refunds are available from the point of purchase, with the exception of customers who purchased tickets from Planet Ice: Ryde Arena, who are asked to take them to The Blacksheep Bar, 53 Union Street, Ryde, to receive refunds.
