Bromley returned to their best form on Saturday as goals from Jamie Kyte, Kevin Allen and Dean Francis saw off visitors Carshalton Athletic.

The Lilywhites took control from the whistle and created seven good chances in the first half. However, poor finishing prevented the home side taking the lead before the break.

All that changed in the second half as on 58 minutes Kyte opened the scoring with an inch-perfect header from 10 yards out.

Striker Allen made it two after 73 minutes and Francis' headed goal at the end rounded off a superb display.

The visitors didn't ever look like scoring, with Dave Wietecha making only one save of note.

Keith Sharman was back to his best after a couple of disappointing performances recently. "Sharman at centre-half was outstanding - it was a good all-round performance - the lads did well," said manager George Wakeling on Monday.

Bromley travel to Hitchin this Saturday and with three teams relegated from the Ryman League this season, it could be tough. "It'll be a difficult game because Hitchin are near the bottom," said Wakeling.

Following Saturday's game it was announced that striker Germaine Amanuel has signed for Horsham and Steve White has joined Carshalton Athletic. Both players had been struggling for regular first-team places at Bromley.

Wakeling said he would be looking at new players for next season but didn't see any new signings in the imminent future.

"It's so late in the season. I'm quite happy to finish with what we've got," he said.

Bromley: Wietecha, Rawlings, Francis, Coles, Gray, Adedeji, Sharman, Kyte, Tompkins, Allen (White), Griggs. Subs not used - Dennington, Minors. Attendance: 376.
