Pub furniture stolen

AUDACIOUS thieves stole sofas, tables, stools and even cushions from a pub garden.

The rattan garden furniture was taken from The Boathouse, Seaview, sometime overnight between Friday, June 22, and Saturday, June 23.

The items taken were four dark brown two-seater sofas with red cushions, two dark brown tables with clear glass tops and two dark brown stools with red tops.

Appealing for information, PC Laura Cade said: "I am keen to speak to anyone who may have seen suspicious people or vehicles in the area in the early hours of Saturday morning. Taxi drivers or late night fishermen may have noticed suspicious activity."

Anyone with information, or may have been offered the stolen items for sale, should contact PC Cade at Shanklin police station on 101. Mini-com users can call the police on 01962 875000.
