A PUBLIC toilet in Newport had to be closed by the Isle of Wight Council this morning (Tuesday), because of vandalism.
A council spokesman said they hoped to re-open the men's toilets in Post Office Lane by this afternoon.

I know this item as about the Gents Toilets but.......I was almost caught short while shopping in Newport on Saturday, I went into the ladies toilets in Post Office Lane, looked around and had to walk out again, they were disgusting. I have had need to use them in the past but they have never been in that state.
