THE Isle of Wight Steam Railway has been named winner of the National Lottery's Best Heritage Project.
The railway's restoration project beat hundreds of other projects across the UK to win the award, which was broadcast live on BBC One on Saturday.
The Isle of Wight Steam Railway will receive £2,000 extra funding.
