THE sweet smell of success again wafted from the Isle of Wight Garlic Festival — the Island’s biggest summer show.
Gourmet garlic treats and cookery demonstrations were at the heart of the weekend, but there was the usual blend of entertainment and things to do.
Festival chairman David Holmes was delighted at the success of the weekend, especially the Saturday.
He said of his eighth show: "It’s terrific when people have a good time.
"I thought the expanded theatre kitchen with its demonstrations worked especially well and we are looking at growing the whole 'foodie’ experience next year."
