Record attempt for Isle of Wight burlesque dancer

Melissa Leach, known on stage as Belle Blonde,will be among 300 dancers from across the country taking part in an attempt at the world's biggest ever burlesque dance.

A BURLESQUE dancer from the Isle of Wight is taking part in a world record attempt in London this weekend.

Melissa Leach, known on stage as Belle Blonde, will be among 300 dancers from across the country taking part in an attempt at the world's biggest ever burlesque dance tomorrow (Saturday) at Clapham Grand in London.

Melissa, 24, from Newport, performed for the first time aged 19 at Coburgs in Ryde.

She said: "I love it and plan to continue performing as much as I can. I am so excited to meet the other participants and perform together."

The Valentine's world record attempt will take place tomorrow at 1pm.
