"We have worked hard to engage with and meet the needs of our customers and, although there is much work left for my successors, I can look back on the last four years with some sense of achievement.

"Red Funnel is in good heart and I wish it every success for the future."

Sorry to see James go. We had many email conversations over the last few years, some good, some less so. However James always replied, usually with a positive attitude. I wonder how many other passengers remember the times before James, when staff were rude and ignorant. You were generally not informed why boats were late etc. James should be respected as he is the only CEO of red funnel that has the balls to come down and explain to passengers what the problem is and what is being done to fix it. He is not an livory tower kind of guy.

No sorry to see this guy leave, he has done nothing at all for the Islanders, in fact I now use Wightlink for ferry crossings which says something as Wightlink are terrible. You have my vote Ming, when you starting?

If you really really want a bridge , just move to Hayling Island or the Isle of Skye instead.

Not surprised. Having had a pointless dialogue with Mr Fulford about IW Concessionary vehicle fares which RF no longer recognise pehaps they will nowt get back to their core IW customers and stop playing fast and loose with us.

I'd like to apply for the job please Red Funnel...I'd slash the prices; your ferries will be heaving with cars and passengers all the time..
£30 Car Return and £15 one way. Every passenger £10 return and £5 one way. I'll send my CV in.
Yours truly,
Richard Branson.
