Red hot reminder for talent show

THERE are still a few days left to enter Red Hot Talent.

The competition, run by Red Funnel Ferries, aims to uncover the South’s hidden talent, from singers to belly dancers and everything inbetween.

The top performers are offered the opportunity to be paid for entertaining passengers on Red Funnel’s ferries during the summer season.

The winner will also walk away with £1,000 and the opportunity to perform to a festival crowd at this year’s Bestival, with £500 for second place, and £250 for third.

Red Funnel is to welcome Radio One DJ and Bestival curator Rob da Bank as guest judge for the grand finale, in early May.

Heats will take place on the Island and in Southampton in mid-April and with sponsors including Britvic J2O drinks, Wave 105, the Isle of Wight County Press and the Southern Daily Echo, this year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever before.

Entrants are invited to submit a video of their act from now until March 15, when a panel of judges will select their favourites to make it through to the public voting round, which takes place from March 19 to 28.

Details of how to enter are available at www.redhottalent.co.uk or entry forms can be picked up from Red Funnel terminals.
