PEOPLE of all ages across the Isle of Wight have gone red nose crazy today (Friday) taking part in fundraising events for Comic Relief.

Among those taking part was volunteer teaching assistant, Julie Sutch, of Bay CE Primary School, Sandown, who has had her head shaved for the campaign.

Ryde Academy students dressed up in 1980-style clothes and staff at Hovertravel have donned fancy dress and will be selling cakes at the terminal in Ryde.

Cowes Primary School pupils started the day with a wake up and shake up session of activities set to music.

A bake off will take place this afternoon at Sandown Library and a sponsored skate will be held at Ryde Arena.

Headon Hill WI members will stretch their legs on a sponsored walk from Yarmouth to the End of the Line Cafe from 2pm.
