THE Cowes floating bridge will not be replaced for another two years.
Council leader Cllr David Pugh said the vessel would last until then and the authority would not spend money unnecessarily.

There are tunnels under The Thames & there is even a tunnel under The Channel. However, it would appear to be mission impossible to build a tunnel 170yds under the Medina!

The maritime certificate is about to expire on this ferry and it will not pass the test in future. Therefore a replacement must be found and soon! And as for Mike saying a bridge will never be built!!!! It appears he has a different story for a mega- mainland bridge, last week we didn't have long to wait!

Richard, how about leaving it where it is? It can either help to reduce any borrowing, or, acrue interest, (not that that will be a lot).Does it have to 'go' anywhere? If you have put aside £XXXX for a holiday but decide to put that holiday off until next year, will you spend that money on a new car this year?

Robert the will never be a bridge between Cowes and East Cowes. The Isle of Wight Council will not need to put any money for the bridge to the mainland.Anybody putting any money into Wightlink has too much money so they deserve to loose it.You have a vote
