RIGHT: Top student Lawrence Mitchell
AN engineering undergraduate at York University has been named the most enterprising student in the south east.
Lawrence Mitchell, 22, of Birchwood Road, Wilmington, won the title as part of the Shell Technology and Enterprise Programme.
The programme matches students with small businesses.
He was placed with Dartford-based metalwork manufacturers Crane and Rowbury Limited for eight weeks, where he created a financial database for the company.
The company was so impressed with the database, which can be used to produce reports for the company and its clients, they decided to keep him working for them for a further two weeks.
