A BUSY meeting place for elderly people is desperately in need of volunteer staff members.
Bertha James Day Centre, on Masons Hill, helps physically-frail elderly people who live near central Bromley to keep their independence.
It also tries to restore some fun to their lives.
Volunteers are needed for positions including receptionists, shopkeepers and coffee bar assistants so the centre can continue to run.
